ABOUT MARK MCAULEY

 

 

I am a professional Actor Writer and award winning Filmmaker. I trained at the 'Stanislavski Studio' under Tim McDonnell at the Focus Theatre, Dublin and with acclaimed acting coach Anthony Meindl. An overactive imagination and an unquenchable interest in human behaviour and psychology combined with a love of art and film has led me to where I am today. Constantly learning and striving to improve is the goal. Proud to be associated with a craft that includes Marlon Brando, Stella Adler, Elia Kazan and Sean Penn amongst the alumni.

My debut feature film aWAKE is now completed and hitting festivals.

My short film THROW YOUR HEART OVER FIRST has played at festivals all around the world. It had its North American premiere at the prestigious NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL in October 2022. I wrote, directed and acted in the film.

My play A FEAR AND LOATHING ACTOR IN DUBLIN had a 5 star run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019. I was the writer and lead actor.
